Hi, I'm Mandy! I'm a wedding, elopement, intimate wedding, and lifestyle photographer.
Thanks for coming by to learn a little about me!
I was always the friend that carried around a camera, I loved capturing moments with my friends and family, moments that I could look back on for years! It took me a long time to realize I should try to pursue that as a career choice.
I'm a major sucker for love stories - I love every bit of it! Hearing about everybody's milestone moments, and having the pleasure of documenting them is so exciting! It makes me smile when I can capture the candid moments, the laughter and the love between people - couples, families, newborns, you name it!
I'll be doing or saying whatever I can to crack a few genuine smiles out of you during our photo session to catch the most sincere moments out of you that I can! So beware for some awkward questions coming your way.
FUN AND RANDOM FACTS
- I can be a bit of a homebody, I love Netflix, Disney+, cooking, reading and crafting.
- I can be pretty introverted, but once I start diving into a hobby or get to know someone, I can become an extroverted introvert!
- I love the outdoors, I don't get out as much as I'd like to, or as much as I used to, but being outside gives me so much life! Mountains, lakes and oceans will put an instantaneous smile on my face!!
- I got married to my best friend after 9 years, and we've got a couple little babies (fur and human) that run our lives!
- And I'll close this off by saying that I have a wide variety of interests. Sports, gaming (video and board), reading (comics and books), etc. If your S.O. is a little camera shy/reluctant, I'm sure I can find something to rant or rave about with them to get a smile on their face!
MY APPROACH
Learning about you and your story is my priority, I will sit with you and work with you to understand what makes you happy, and what is important to you to have captured. I want to capture the items and the people that mean something to you. This means that I am here for you every step of the way, I know the stresses of wedding planning, I'm here to support you, let me in on what your experiencing, and maybe I can help!
I'm a photographer for the people that are crazy in love and love adventure. For the people that are down to earth and can roll with the punches. I want to capture the true you, and so I will want to learn as much about you as I can to make sure I can capture your personality, spirit, and all things inherently, well, you! That means I'll climb up a mountain, or walk into a lake with you if that's what you're looking for!
All this being said, if sharing the details of your story with me make you uncomfortable, or you're just going down your checklist, I may not be the one for you, and that's okay! Everybody is different, and maybe we don't jive, don't worry about it! It's important that you find somebody that makes you comfortable. I want you to be just as excited having me by your side as I am about being by yours!
I hope to be able to capture your special moments, I am based out of Edmonton, Alberta but I love to travel and will consider travelling to your choice of location to capture the things that make you, you.
